Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent nationwide and in each congressional district. Since the Artistic Discovery competition began in 1982, more than 650,000 high school students have participated.
Montserrat College of Art and Congressman Seth Moulton are proud to announce the winners for this year’s Sixth District Congressional High School Art Competition and Show. This year nearly 100 students from 22 schools across the district submitted their work to the show.
The Best in School Prize from Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School was awarded to Benjamin Holland for his piece, Hiding in the Wilderness.
The Girls Cross Country 3B State Champions visited the State House last week with Coach Sawyer and Coach Ryan. State Representative Kristin Kassner welcomed our young accomplished athletes during informal sessions in each chamber. The Generals earned their sixth All-State title this past fall and continue to impress!
Congratulations to all of the 2025 Greater Boston Regional History Day winners! On Saturday, March 8th, the Greater Boston Regional History Day contest took place. Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School competed against 25 other Massachusetts schools. Six of our projects will advance to the Massachusetts State History Day contest at Winchester High School on Saturday, April 12th. This year’s theme is Rights and Responsibilities in History. A special thank you to all of the teachers who have worked closely with our students since September on their research projects: Kristen Borges, Brett Burnett, and Johann Knets.
